The Irish say good bye to Australia

Sunday, 23 Nov, 2006 0

The Tourism Ireland visiting roadshow team left Australia from Perth this week after an exhaustive programme visiting Auckland, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth giving travel agents the chance to discover their very own Ireland.

The thirteen key Irish trade representatives travelled half way around the world to show travel agents why Ireland is such a wonderful destination and also why it is so important to take the time while in Ireland to explore the country, with sell out full house events everywhwere and thousand of agents enjoying that famous Irish craic.

For a very small destination Tourism Ireland does most certainly punch above its weight attracting the attention normally acheived by much bigger destinations.

Agents even had a chance to win a trip to the Emerald Isle, with the winners flying Gulf Air, who now flies 3 times a week directly from Sydney into Dublin via Bahrain and travelling with sponsor Tempo Holidays who significantly increased its Ireland programmes this year.
