Thomas Cook pilots cancel Friday strike
Thomas Cook pilots have called off a planned strike for tomorrow but are threatening further industrial action next month.
Their union BALPA said it was consulting members on escalating the strikes to eight days in October.
General secretary Brian Strutton added: "Alternatively, there is the option of arbitration, but at the moment Thomas Cook has not indicated they would be prepared to accept this as a means of resolving their dispute with their pilots."
Thomas Cook said it ‘remains keen to resolve this dispute in the interest of all those involved’.
A spokesperson added: "We await the response of BALPA’s members."
