Thomsonfly serves up celebrity chef
Celebrity chef Aldo Zilli is to oversee the in-flight meal service offered by Thomsonfly next summer.
The new menus come as part of a review of the whole of the airline’s in-flight service for 2007, including increased seat pitch on many long haul flights and a more sophisticated seat back entertainment system.
Zilli, who runs a London-based restaurant business and a cookery school in Italy besides his television appearances, will have an input in all elements of the airline meal tray, according to the airline.
Managing director Colin Mitchell said: “This partnership should go some of the way to change people’s perceptions of airline meals and show there is no need to compromise on standard and choice.”
