Trafalgar: more, more and more
Trafalgar’s new USA & Canada brochure has more of everything: itineraries, vacations, ”Be My Guest” authentic local dining experiences, and new for 2011, special wine pairing dinners.
“Travelers who book and deposit by September 30, 2010, can save $300 per couple on tours 10 days or more, and $200 per couple on tours 9 days or less,” the company says.
Tour participants can pan for gold, ride a gondola, go white water rafting and explore a glacier on the new Family Experience "Rockies Thrills and Glacier Chills" starting in Vancouver (8 days; land prices begin at $2025).
The new Family Experience ‘Trails of Liberty’ in Washington D.C. includes a visit to Hershey’s Chocolate World, a BBQ dinner and marshmallow roasting in Shenandoah, and a "Just-4-Kids-Surprise pack." The later involves an eight-day trip with prices starting at US$1650.
Also new for 2011 are the "San Francisco and Wine Country Delights," "Great East Coast Cities,” and "Golden West Contrasts" with an option to include Disneyland with an eight-day excursion priced starting at US$1499.
New wine pairing dinners include a tour of premier wine-growing regions and then dinners where diners will learn about each wine and why it has been selected to complement each course.
There are special discounts for children ages 5-17.
