Long haul operator Travel 2 has recruited 19 additional reservations staff at its call centre in Glasgow.
The company, part of Stella Travel Services, said the launch of brochures to the Indian Ocean and Middle East and Africa, had led to an increase in bookings.
“A combination of the launch of new tailor-made and package options for 2010, and an increase in calls to our reservations centre overall, have seen sales increase steadily since July this year,” said Travel 2 managing director Andy Freeth.
“We’re feeling quietly bullish about the rest of the year due to the roll-out of more new brochures all packed with great destinations and new options including popular itineraries as packages for the first time, which is a major development for Travel 2.”
