Almost 600 agents are due to attend Travel Counsellors’ annual conference tobe held in Manchester in November.

They will represent nearly 70% of the home working retailer’s agency staff.

The event will also see more than 120 staff from the company’s Bolton head office in attendance, three times more than attended last year’s event held on board Royal Caribbean International ship Voyager of the Seas.

Representatives from over 100 suppliers will be attending, compared to 80 last year.

The conference is being held on November 23-25 at the recently re-branded ‘Manchester Central’, formerly known as Manchester International Convention Centre and GMEX.

Commercial director Kirsten Hughes comments; “We have had to cater for an increased demand from suppliers to attend this year’s conference, and have a record number in attendance.

“We have always had fantastic feedback from suppliers about our conferences, and many have said that they will only attend one conference this year and it’s ours.”
