Travel Gossip postpones birthday bash to June
The people behind the travel agent Facebook forum Travel Gossip have postponed the date of its 10th birthday bash.
Director Bruce Martin said the new date is June 30, and added: "The new date is 15 weeks away from today – 15 weeks! Surely things will be getting back to normal by then and we can put our troubles behind us and have a good party."
The party was originally due to take place on April 21.
The Facebook group now has more then 21,000 members.
Earlier this week, Martin reassured any members who had recently lost their jobs due to the coronavirus could still remain on the group.
"I’m very sorry to read about people being made redundant," he posted.
"I just wanted to say that you are very welcome to remain in Travel Gossip if you are between travel jobs."
