Travel job placements hit joint highest level in almost a year
The number of candidates being placed in new travel jobs jumped to a five-month high in March to equal the highest total since last April, according to the latest figures from C&M Travel Recruitment.
March’s figure was up by 9% from February 2024 and up by 28% per cent from March 2024.
It was also the third highest total in the past two years.
However, there was a fall in the number of new candidates searching for travel jobs during March, down 19% compared to both the previous month and March 2024.
Similarly, the number of new travel jobs created in March dipped by 24% from February.
Barbara Kolosinska, Co-Owner and Managing Director at C&M Travel Recruitment, said: “With another increase in March, travel job placements have now risen in three of the last four months, which is excellent to see.”
“Perhaps more importantly, placements have only fallen year-on-year once in the past seven months, so we appear to be gaining some momentum.”
“Last month’s dip in candidates and vacancies is disappointing, but April appears to be a much better month for new job seekers.”
