Travel Weekly closes in Asia

Thursday, 19 Feb, 2009 0

SINGAPORE – The Reed Travel and Meetings Group has closed two of its travel trade titles in Asia.

In a statement to advertisers, Reed said, “Due to the very difficult economic climate, it is with regret that TravelWeekly and Events will cease publication.

“However, we are continuing with TravelWeeklyChina due to the strong continued support from readers and advertisers in the China travel market.

“TravelWeeklyChina will focus on e-broadcast and e-products in 2009 to provide marketing services for the travel industry in the most cost effective medium.”

There have been some redundancies as a result of the closure.
