TravelServe signs up fourth GDS
TravelServeXML, the online booking system that hopes to be the corporate’s GDS of the future, has reached a deal with Worldspan.
Creators of the system, DATAFLEXnet, have now got access to the four main GDSs in addition to eight no-frills carriers. So agents using TravelServeXML can compare fares from the four GDSs with no-frills fares from RyanAir, MyTravelLite, Volare, Basiq Air, Hapag-Lloyd Express, Virgin Express, easyJet and Bmi Baby.
DATAFLEXnet technical director, Andrew Thomas said getting all four GDSs on board was a long-term goal for the company. He said that coupled with no-frills access, DATAFLEXnet should now have “unrivalled advantage” in the market.
DATAFLEXnet is also considering a slimmed-down version for agents who want to add no-frills access to their own online booking system.
The free trial of TravelServe is still available for a limited time by visiting the website.
