Trip planning platform Touristly rebrands to Vidi
Malaysia based online travel startup Touristly has announced a name change and strategy revamp.
It is rebranding to Vidi, and is part of a move from traditional trip planning to ‘a visual discovery platform to capture the tours and activities market in Asia Pacific and beyond,’ it said.
Coming soon is the release of new iOS and Android apps reflecting the new branding.
"Our mission from day one was to give travellers the missing link in how they plan their holidays. This rebranding marks a new chapter in our journey as we move towards making travel discovery more engaging, fun and visual," said founder and CEO Aaron Sarma.
The company was formed in 2015 and a year ago sold a 50% stake to Air Asia Berhad.
The Vidi platform offers more than 13,000 tours, attractions and activities across the Asia pacific region.
