Triton kicks off £35,000 technology training programme
Triton has embarked on a £35,000 training programme this week to make sure its 2000-plus members are up to speed with its new technology.
Triton and Worldchoice director Barbara Collins has been appointed by the Triton Board to oversee training activities across the organisation.
Classroom sessions, run by Training For Travel, kicked off this week at Global’s headquarters in Chester, and will be held at various locations across the UK.
They will provide initial training on Triton Search, which members can then feed down to staff at each branch.
Global is producing an interactive web-based training programme as an ongoing support tool, taking agency staff through a step-by-step guide to booking using Triton Search.
Worldchoice members will also be piloting internet technology enabling small groups of up to seven people to log on, register and take part in a live troubleshooting conference call with a support team.
“This is a mammoth task and rather than just holding the half-day training sessions we felt that it was important for all Triton members to have access to ongoing support so that the full extent and benefits of the technology can be realised as quickly as possible across the group,” said Collins.
“Around 258 Triton members are already using Triton Search and we are hoping to train around 50 more members each week through the classroom sessions.
“The video and online conference calls will also be instrumental especially for those members unable to attend an initial training course, and the helpdesk is being expanded to increase the efficiency of the service we are providing.”
