TSA officer has no trouble finding drugs
A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) worker was arrested for allegedly helping drug dealers pass through security screenings at the Buffalo-Niagara International Airport, says the AP.
A 43-year-old woman pled not guilty in court after being arrested by agents from both the FBI and the US Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
The Buffalo News writes "police said she is alleged to have assisted ‘known drug traffickers’ with information and with getting through airport security checkpoints." The AP said the woman worked as a “behavioral detection officer,” trained to observe and analyze human behavior.
The news agency adds that she "had unrestricted access to the airport and its security stations.”
TSA officials say they have no other indications of other involved employees.
