Two new board members for TUI Travel
Two new board members of TUI Travel are due to be elected in February after two serving directors stepped down.
Tony Campbell, who joined the board from First Choice when the tour operators merged in 2007, is standing down, as is Voker Bottcher, managing director of the Group’s German Specialist Division.
In their place, two new directors will be proposed for election to the Board as non-executive directors at the Annual General Meeting in February.
One is Val Gooding, also non-executive chairman of Premier Farnell, and who has been appointed a non-executive director of Vodaphone from February 2014.
She spent many years at British Airways as head of cabin services, head of marketing, director Asia Pacific and director of business units – responsible for BA retail shops, charter airline and tour operator businesses.
The other is Vladimir Yakushev, managing partner of private equity company S-Group Capital Management. Based in Moscow, S-Group is TUI Travel’s joint venture partner in Russia.
