US Air Service improves on-time performance
US air service in August was better than July.
That may come as particularly surprising news because of hurricanes, labor disputes and the usual summer congestion.
The US’s top 41 domestic carriers were on time 77% of the time, said FlightStats, up from 73% in July.
The average length of delay for those flights more than 15 minutes late was down by more than 10% from July to August, said FlightStat, a flight performance data service.
The volume of excessive delays also dropped in August.
