USTA names new CEO
The U.S. Travel Association has appointed Geoff Freeman as new association chief
He takes over on September 1 replacing Roger Dow as CEO.
Dow is stepping down after 17 years.
Freeman rejoins the USTA after several years in association leadership positions.
He is CEO of the Consumer Brands Association and was previously chief of the American Gaming Association.
Freeman was a key player in bringing about the Travel Promotion Act of 2009 and creating Brand USA.
“We are proud to welcome Geoff Freeman back to lead the U.S. Travel Association. Geoff is highly regarded in Washington and well known across our industry,” saidChristine Duffy, National Chair of the U.S. Travel Association.
Freeman said: “I am eager to get to work on behalf of this incredible industry. There are few industries more essential to the nation’s economy.”
