Virgin Travelstore gets eco-friendly
VIRGIN Travelstore has become the latest company to throw its weight behind eco-friendly charity, The Travel Foundation.
The flight consolidator has announced it will donate £2 for each of the 3000 agents it is visiting during a promotional tour of the UK.
Virgin Flightstore commercial director Carol Smallman said: “Sustainable tourism is crucial to our industry and the people we all work with across the globe.” Stressing the importance of sustainable tours will also be drummed into agents during familiarisation trips, she added.
The Travel Foundation is looking to raise £1 million per year by 2006. It has embarked on a series of overseas projects since it was launched last year.
