VISION “SPECIAL ADVISORS†GROUP FORMED
VISION on Sustainable Tourism has broadened its horizons and is creating a group of “Special Advisors†to facilitate this process.
An initial target of 50 advisors was set and after just 2 weeks, the group now counts 30 enthusiastic participants from all over the world.
Said Valere Tjolle, VISION Editor, “Although we’d like a few more people to join, I am really gratified by the response to date. There is an amazing level of commitment, knowledge, understanding and enthusiasm in sustainable tourism and our initial 30 participants reflect all that and much more. I’m really looking forward to working with them allâ€
Valere continued “The Sustainable Tourism industry is developing rapidly and now impinges on so many different discrete areas as well as tourism. For instance, the Green Movement, Sustainability, the LOHAS Lifestyles of Health and Sustainability, Corporate Social Responsibility, Carbon Trading, International Development, Green Building and many, many more rapidly developing areas.â€
“We’re looking for experienced networkers, people who understand the meaning of sustainability and have contacts in associated areas. Our chosen group will assist in developing VISION’S message and platforms and assist us in propagating it.â€
“As it is, VISION is the world’s biggest platform for sustainable tourism in the industry, but there’s still a long way to go. This represents a vast range of inspirational opportunities. Although it may not feel like it, we’re just on the ground floor now, there’s a great journey up in front of us.â€
