VP change for Travel Michigan
Dave Lorenz has been named as acting vice president of Travel Michigan following the resignation of David West.
Lorenz has been with Travel Michigan since 2002 and served as industry relations and international marketing manager, overseeing sports event promotion, international marketing, packaged travel, and conventions and meetings.
He will now lead the state’s tourism branding initiatives alongside the Pure Michigan marketing campaign.
"This is an exciting time for our state. The economy continues to come back, our communities are becoming more vibrant and more people are able to see all of the great things our state has to offer," said Steve Arwood, Chief Executive Officer of Michigan Economic Development Corporation.
"I’m confident that Lorenz will continue to find smart, innovative ways to grow the tourism campaign."
Lorenz previously worked as manager of partnerships and promotions at Meijer, Inc. leading marketing campaigns for companies such as Nabisco, Kraft, Coca-Cola, Disney and Mattel.
