Westin checking in to Margaret River
Marriott-owned Westin Hotels and Resorts is adding a second property in Western Australia.
The wellness-focused luxury brand will plant its flag in Margaret River with a planned opening in 2023.
Westin Margaret River Resort and Spa will have 120 keys including 45 suites and is located on the southern headland of Gnarabup Beach.
It will feature three dining venues, a resort style outdoor pool and signature Westin amenities including the WORKOUT fitness studio, and Heavenly Spa by Westin.
"Expanding the Westin brand into the Margaret River region is important strategically, as the city is enjoying great growth and is not showing any signs of slowing down," said Sean Hunt, Marriott International area vice president, Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific.
The site is being developed by Saracen Properties and Security Capital Australia, in collaboration with Christou Design Group architects.
"While Covid-19 has had serious impacts on tourism right around the world and here in WA, this project demonstrates long-term confidence in Margaret River and Western Australia," said WA Premier Mark McGowan.
