Wild fraternity weekend ends with tornado-like damage
When these fraternity brother tourists were done after a wild weekend, it was as if a tornado had gone through the Lake of the Ozarks resort.
“It looks like small-scale Katrina,” owner Jake Drake said of his Lakeview Resort in Missouri.
In 60 years of operation, the resort never saw this kind of destruction, according to newspaper reports of the incident.
Members of Alpha Tau Omega Fraternity caused the weekend havoc, which included:
- Collapsed chairs.
- Splintered tables
- Crushed coffee pots.
- A lake strewn with chairs and other debris.
No charges have been filed but fraternity officials agreed to pay $10,000 for the damages.
