Worldchoice agents to get virtual classroom
Worldchoice plans to offer virtual learning sessions to members with training on the Triton Search system first on the agenda.
The Webex technology allows up to 15 agents to participate on a conference call with a trainer while a live technology demonstration takes place simultaneously.
The solution will be particularly useful for agents in remote parts of the country who find it difficult and expensive to attend classroom sessions as well as for arranging virtual troubleshooting sessions in the future.
Worldchoice members wanting to participate in the virtual training are e-mailed a password to access the conference call. The technology also allows agents to test what they have just learned by having a go with the trainer present.
An instant messaging service is also part of the Webex system so agents can raise questions on the spot and the solutions can be shared with all participants.
Worldchoice Travel Enterprises managing director Bill Pickering claimed the technology would also be useful for supplier negotiations and meetings between the regions and head-office.
The first Triton Search virtual training session is expected to take place later this month.
