Worldspan allows for schedule changes

Worldspan has announced two new optional search features to offer a bigger selection of low-price itinerary choices for travel buyers with flexible schedules or trip preferences. Worldspan Flex Date Pricing and Worldspan User Defined Zone Pricing allows users to comparison shop for the best travel values with one request and one response, the company says. The company says they represent its first new pricing solutions powered exclusively by Worldspan e-Pricing (R), the company’s server-based fare search technology supporting Worldspan Power Products. Flex Date Pricing allows Power Shopper to search specified dates, then broaden the search to include the days before and after the departure date, the return date or both for more flexibility and lower fates. “For the travel buyer wondering whether one day more or less might make a big difference in the fare, Flex Data Pricing has the answer on the very first entry,” said Sue Powers, chief information officer and senior vice president, Worldwide Product Solutions for Worldspan.
