Wyndham Rewards expands with Member Levels

Wednesday, 13 May, 2016 0
Wyndham Worldwide’s Wyndham Rewards program is getting an extra enhancement with the introduction of ‘Member Levels’ later this month.

It comprises four different levels—Blue, Gold, Platinum and Diamond, which offers extra member perks at select hotels.

When members redeem their points for a stay in one of the top 25 destinations, they automatically receive an extra benefit for no additional points.

This could include indoor skydiving in Orlando or a cooking class in Shanghai, the company says.

The curated Wyndham Rewards experiences are discounted or free depending on the Member Level status.

The Plus awards range from $5 per award night at Blue level up to a complementary experiences valued at up to $150 a night Diamond level members.

"Devaluation is too common a trend in today’s loyalty game—it reflects everything that’s wrong with industry rewards programs and continues to be the driving force behind why Wyndham Rewards is once again breaking the mold," said Josh Lesnick, EVP and chief marketing officer, Wyndham Hotel Group.

"While other loyalty programs find new ways to restrict their most loyal guests when they redeem, we’re doing the exact opposite and giving our members the very best: our best hotels in our best locations with the best local experiences—365 days a year for just 15,000 points."

Member Levels goes live on May 18.
