Your Guide to Dining in Adelaide
Tourism Minister Jane Lomax-Smith has launched a new guide to Adelaide’s acclaimed restaurants, cafes and pubs.
Minister Lomax-Smith says “Your Guide to Dining in Adelaide” is a 48-page booklet that will provide visitors with a tantalising taste of the city’s eateries.
“Adelaide is recognised as the food and wine capital of Australia, boasting more restaurants per head than any other Australian city,” she says.
“Your Guide to Dining in Adelaide is packed with more than 75 restaurants, cafes, pubs and wine bars in the city and surrounding regions, offering a mouth-watering choice of food and wine experiences.
“We want all visitors to South Australia, as well as locals, to be aware of our wonderful restaurants, hip pubs, and stylish cafes in the city, by the beach, among the vines and in the hills.
“This free booklet is the perfect way to inspire even more people to try our delicious and surprisingly affordable dining options.
“As part of the South Australian Tourism Plan 2003-2008, we aim to enhance and grow the State’s authentic experiences, and in particular, enrich South Australia’s wine, food and restaurant experiences.”
Restaurants and pubs featured in the guide include the acclaimed Penfolds Magill Estate Restaurant, The Archer in North Adelaide, The Brasserie at the Hilton Adelaide, and the Bridgewater Mill in the Adelaide Hills.
The guide is an initiative of Adelaide Tourism Marketing and HWR Media & Communications and has been produced in partnership with the Adelaide City Council and the South Australian Tourism Commission.
