A tale of two animals
CHONGQING – Here’s a story of a dog and piglet that inspires, and leaves one wondering why humans cannot exist in harmony regardless of race or religion instead of maiming and killing one another.
In the Chinese city of Chongqing, China, a dog called Huihu adopted a piglet and nursed it as her own after her five pups were stillborn.
Huihu’s owner, Lao Yi, said she was very depressed for one week, and then one night came home with a tiny black piglet following her.
Since then Huihu has reared the piglet as if it were her own puppy, nursing her and taking her around. The two have become celebrities in the neighbourhood, attracting many visitors, according to the Chongqing Business Papers.
The piglet, thriving only on Huihu’s milk, has put on 2kg in just a month, added the proud Lao Yi.
