ACTE to tackle Olympic debate
The impact of the 2012 Olympic Games on Britain’s travel industry is to be debated in London this month.
At its next Executive Forum, Association of Corporate Travel Executives (ACTE), will tackle the issue of whether the Olympics will help London’s transport infrastructure and how it will influence business travel buying habits, if London is successful in its bid.
Scheduled for May 26, the event is open to members of ACTE and Institute of Travel Managers (ITM), the organisation with which it announced a merger in February, for 150 euros and to non-members for 280 euros.
It is being held at the Novotel London Euston. The event will be attended by travel procurement and meetings professionals, who will also discuss the meetings, conference and incentive sector, self-booking tools and sustainable development.
Among the panel members are: Joanna Altria, UK travel manager, ABN AMRO, Simone Buckley, vice president EMEA, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Melanie Garrett, vice president marketing, TQ3 Travel Solutions, Ray Thackeray, managing director, Travent-OnVantage E.
