Air India relocates flights at Delhi
Air India is shifting flight operations at Delhi International Airport as major expansion works at T3 get underway,
The terminal upgrade is to international passenger capacity, and this work will impact the space Air Inia has available for.
Air India will relocate about one-third of its 180 daily domestic flights to T2 at Delhi.
Also, Air India Express is shifting its entire domestic network to T1, which has been recently upgraded.
Both the airlines’ international flights will continue flying from T3.
The T2 building officially reopens on 26 October and has been given a makeover with aerobridges and structural enhancements,
“Terminal enlargement works at T3 have necessitated the relocation of certain domestic operations of Air India and Air India Express. These arrangements will ensure smooth travel while supporting the airport’s efforts to boost international handling capacity,” Air India said.
