AirTran offers new booking service

Tuesday, 02 Sep, 2004 0

Corporate accounts and travel agency clients can now book and hold reservations until the next day without having to enter credit card information through the corporate and travel agency modes of airtrain.com, the airline announced.

“The corporate and travel agency sites of airtran.com provide users with our best fares, superior functionality, and additional benefits as compared to other booking channels,” said Bill Howard, AirTran Airways director of sales.

The new feature gives users flexibility to obtain low one-way fares, while at the same time providing time to confirm travel plans prior to making the purchase, said Mr Howard.

Other benefits include:

• Access to Web fares that may not be available via other channels.

• Advance seat assignments for all bookings.

• Five percent commissions paid to registered agents.

• The ability to obtain A2B corporate program benefits without a telephone call.

• AirTran Airways has 500 flights a day to 45 destinations.
