American Cruise Lines unveils 2024 New England cruises

Monday, 18 Mar, 2024 0

American Cruise Lines has announced a summer season of New England cruises.

ACL’s 2024 New England season features six small ships, including three new Coastal Cats.

They will be sailing eight- to 15-day itineraries, including brand new Yankee Seaports cruises between Boston and New York City, and new Hudson River Summer Classic cruises roundtrip from NYC.

American’s coastal itineraries throughout New England are the only overnight cruises that remain within the US.

They call at 20 New England Ports from May through September.

The small ships visit ports in Plymouth, Bar Harbor, Bangor, Nantucket, Martha’s Vineyard, Block Island, Newport, Gloucester and more.

The 2024 collection of New England cruses include:

New: Eight-day Yankee Seaports cruises, between Boston, and New York City

Eight-day Cape Codder cruises, roundtrip from Boston

Eight-day New England Islands cruises, roundtrip from Providence, RI

Eight-day Maine Coast and Harbors cruises, roundtrip from Portland, ME

Eight-day Down East Maine cruises, roundtrip from Bangor, ME

11-day New England Explorer cruises, roundtrip from Boston, MA

15-day Grand New England cruises, roundtrip from Boston, MA

This summer, the company is also offering brand-new eight-day Hudson River Summer Classic cruises sailing roundtrip from NYC.

For many years, American has offered autumn sailings on the Hudson River and, due to their popularity, the line has decided to expand their 2024 offering with new June sailings.

Melissa Young, ACL’s director of business development said: “While some large cruise ships sail part of this region, none can cruise it the way American’s small ships do – sailing protected waters and accessing local harbors.”
