Americans advised not to travel to Japan
The US State Department and the CDC warned Americans not to travel to Japan as the country gears up to host the delayed Tokyo Olympics in just a few weeks. Citing increasing Covid infection levels, ‘travelers should avoid all travel to Japan’ the CDC said in a new update.
Olympic organizers have already said no foreign fans will be permitted at the Games. The State Department raised its advisory for Japan to the highest ‘Level 4 — Do not travel.’
The United States Olympic & Paralympic Committee said athletes will compete in the Games as planned.
