An ANTOR Seminar not to be missed – the world of media

Travel journalists from print, radio, television and online media will share their views on Making Every Word Count and what makes a media release work (or not work) for them at the forthcoming ANTOR Seminar on 22 November in Sydney.

ANTOR says that panellists will about key stories they’ve picked up from media releases and help delegates make the most of every word you use

Panel members include: –

Anthony Dennis, Editor Travel & Leisure Australia – the magazine for travellers not tourists – showcases the finest travel writing and photography, from home, the region and the rest of the world;

Stephen Samuelson, Online Travel Editor Sydney Morning Herald & The Age Online.smh.com.au and theage.com.au – delivering all the latest news as it happens, as well as entertainment, business, technology and sports news.

Australia’s largest news agency moves over two billion words per year to all media – print, broadcast and digital. In all, it sends 4500 stories, pictures, video and data files to its customers every day

Another part of the programme includes an assessment of Media Familiarisations, what makes a famil fly and what makes it flop, with Marc Llewellyn, award winning freelance writer, President of the Australian Society of Travel Writers and Sue Marr Marketing Manager, Thai Airways International.

The Seminar will be held at The Four Points by Sheraton Darling Harbour Hotel, 161 Sussex Street (on the block between King Street and Market Street)
on Wednesday 22 November 2006, with registration from 15.00 hours and the seminar starting at 15.30.

The afternoon will close at 18.00 with drinks and a networking session and participation costs are $77 (including GST) with a tax invoiceprovided to all participants.
