ARC: sales up 11%
Air and rail travel sales in February were up 11% over the same month in 2003, according to the Airlines Reporting Corporation. It marked the sixth consecutive month that sales were higher than the same time last year, according to ARC President and CEO David R. B. Collins. ARC’s statistics also showed a record high for weekly average sales per ARC-accredited location. The average increased 25% in February of 2004 over the same month last year, and by 9% over the previous record high set in October of 2003. “With increased average sales per location in 17 of the last 18 months, ARC-accredited companies continue to show their value as distributors of travel,” Mr Collins said.
