Australia cuts direct flights from India
Australia will significantly reduce flights from India, which is experiencing a second wave of cases, and allow for Australians planning to travel there ‘only very urgent cases’ will be approved.
Prime Minister Scott Morrison said fights coming into Sydney from India will be cut by about 30%. "We will also be limiting the departure exceptions for Australians travelling to high-risk countries (including) to India," the PM said.
Morrison said the federal government will draw up a list of high risk countries similar to the UK’s ‘red list.’
