Bali wedding business booming

Saturday, 21 Feb, 2008 0

With Bali’s key wedding season due to officially kick off in April, local wedding specialist Bali Weddings International is again bracing for what Australian owner Katrina Simorangkir says is shaping up to be another bumper year for Bali’s Australian romantic travel business.

Citing the strong increased Australian arrival figures throughout 2007 (which jumped by more than 70 per cent over the totals achieved in 2006*), Simorangkir said this, in combination with some of the best forward bookings seen for almost four  years, was an extremely positive indicator for the 2008 season.

“But we are keeping our feet on the ground,” she said.

“While our Australian business is definitely beginning to grow again we’re still continuing to see other nationalities visiting Bali in much stronger numbers, especially Americans, British, French, Irish, New Zealanders, Japanese and Swedes.”

The wedding specialist is currently offering its Australian customers free digital photography on all Legal or Balinese Blessing ceremonies taking place between now and 31 July 2008*.

The offer includes the services of a professional photographer who will take 72 frames, a number of which will be placed in a simple album, and a CD containing all 72 images taken.

The wedding specialist is offering a choice of one free roll of photographic stills or free orchid and frangipani bouquets on all wedding packages and commitment ceremonies booked before 31 July 2008*.

*Conditions apply.

*Figures released by the Indonesian government indicate Australian visitor arrivals to Bali for the period January to December 2007 totalled 204,421 compared to the 117,969 total recorded for the same period in 2006.
