Bhutan’s Department of Tourism has launched a new Tourism Services Portal.
Aimed at visiting tourists, it hopes to enhance the overall visitor experience with streamlined access to tourism friendly services.
Nearly 1,500 Bhutanese tour operators and certified tourist guides, 114 hotels and homestays have registered to the portal.
More local tourism businesses and professionals are expected to join the platform in the coming weeks.

The Tourism Services Portal aims to centralise access to essential tourism services, so visitors can easily connect with accredited providers and book accommodations and tours.
“I am delighted that we are able to launch this new and much-needed tourism services portal for our visitors and tourism partners,” said Damcho Rinzin, Director, Department of Tourism Bhutan.
“This portal will serve as a single-window access point to connect with our tourism service providers.”

It is is part of Bhutan’s efforts to boost digital infrastructure for a more seamless traveller experience before and during a visit to the country.
