Bodies found at Kenya Airways crash site
Kenya Airways has confirmed the remains of 29 passengers have been recovered at the scene of flight KQ 507, which crashed shortly after take off from Cameroon on Friday night.
Michael Okwiri, head of Kenya Airways corporate communications, said: “It seems unlikely that there are any survivors. It appears that the aircraft broke up on impact.
“This inevitably and distressingly means the bodies on board have been badly damaged. This will make the identification process more complicated and time-consuming.
“Kenya Airways is bringing in victim identification experts, including forensic and DNA personnel, together with equipment from the UK and elsewhere. They will be arriving tomorrow to assist Cameroon authorities in their work.”
It’s believed 114 people, including five Britons, were on board.
