British Heritage Cities to update Web site

At World Travel Market last week, British Heritage Cities has announced it will re-launch an updated Web site in an effort to attract more Americans.

The BHC wants more US citizens to travel on railway packages to its five historic UK member cities – Bath, Chester, Stratford, York and Edinburgh.

BritRail’s six-night “Britain’s Secrets” packages combine accommodation with breakfast, rail passes and sightseeing vouchers.

BHC spokesman Colin Potts said the launch marked the beginning of a concerted effort to raise the profile of Britain’s heritage cities worldwide.

The redesigned site, at www.heritagecities.co.uk, also features a new database of events.
