CentralWorld Bangkok back in business
Bangkok’s CentralWorld retail complex – severely damaged during the Thai capital’s political upheaval earlier this year – has re-opened.
New facilities include Thailand’s first open-air ice-skating rink inside a shopping centre and a new ‘ladies only’ parking zone.
CentralWorld re-launches with 80 percent of its retail space open for business, with the remainder completed in December and the connecting Zen Department Store re-opening in August 2011.
Utilities have been overhauled or replaced, including air conditioning systems, escalators and lifts.
