China Southern steps up Brisbane schedule
China Southern Airlines will for the first time offer daily direct flights between its Guangzhou hub and Brisbane to cater for increased summer demand and other peak periods.
From November 21, China Southern will offer a daily morning service on its latest A330 aircraft with flatbeds up front and personal seatback screens throughout.
Chinese authorities recently confirmed that passengers flying on China Southern’s Canton Route between Australia and Europe can take a three-day stopover in Guangzhou without obtaining a visa.
The decision brings Guangzhou into line with Beijing and Shanghai.
China Southern flies to Guangzhou in the Pearl River Delta from Sydney, Melbourne, Perth and Brisbane.
The airline will begin flying an A380 superjumbo to Sydney on October 28.
