CIMTIG appeals for volunteers

Tuesday, 25 Aug, 2009 0

CIMTIG (Chartered Institute of Marketing Travel Industry Group) is seeking new volunteer Council Members to share the workload.

The group, which promotes marketing education and professionalism in the travel, tourism and hospitality sector, is looking to expand its role in the industry.

“You don’t have to be working in marketing, or indeed be a member of CIM, to play a role in CIMTIG,” it said in an appeal.

“Great experience is not a pre-requisite as we have plenty of that and we welcome fresh ideas.

“As you would expect, you will have to go through a selection process, but if you are enthusiastic, skilled in PR, new media or other parts of the marketing mix, or if you are playing a key role in marketing for your company, then you won’t have a problem.”

CIMTIG said it needs help with organising networking and educational events, and major events like its Travel Marketing Awards.

If you are interested, send an email to [email protected] of no more than 100 words specifying what you could bring to the CIMTIG Council by September 2.
