CLIA appoints sustainable cruising expert

Cruise Lines International Association has appointed Sascha Gill to beef up its sustainability credentials.

Gill was named Vice President, Sustainability.

He previously worked as Vice President, Nautical Operations and held several roles within hotel operationsg.

Prior to the cruise sector, he was Senior Consultant Brand Protection for Richey International.

He also worked for hotel brands including Marriott and Hilton.

“This will enhance our ability to support members to achieve our vision of net zero carbon cruising,” said Marie-Caroline Laurent, CLIA Director General, Europe.
