Cruise118 launches two niche brands
Cruise118 is increasing its sales force and launching two niche brands following a successful first six months of trading.
The Lancashire-based cruise retail business currently has 17 sales staff and will be increasing this to 25, alongside its eight-strong management and support team.
It has also launched two niche brands, SailfromUK.com and AlaskaOnly.com.
Cruise118, set up by former MyTravel directors James Cole and Mal Barritt, achieved a seven figure sales revenue in January alone.
Setting up a new business at the beginning of a recession was always going to be a risk but we are delighted with how Cruise118 is performing in the current climate,” said Cole.
“Despite gloomy industry predictions, we had an exceptional January, with Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruises selling particularly well."
Moving away from the traditional call centre approach, Cruise118 provides a tailored service with a personal concierge to guide customers through the research and booking process and remain in contact until after they have returned from their trip.
