Delhi metro station adds check-in for more airlines
Customers of more airlines will be able to check-in for flights at New Delhi metro station.
Delhi International Airport Limited has announced customers of SpiceJet, AirAsia India and GoAir can check-in at the metro station two to 12 hours before scheduled departure.
The metro takes less than 20 minutes to reach Terminal 3 of the Indira Gandhi International Airport.
For GoAir, the service is only available for international flights.
Up until now, metro check-in has been available only to customers of Air India and Vistara, which processes about 500 airline passengers a day.
Checked bags are transferred to Delhi Airport’s Terminal 3 via a secured baggage handling system.
"We introduced metro check-in at Delhi metro station in the interest of customer centricity. As the operator of the country’s capital airport, we have the responsibility of making the airport user-friendly," said airport CEO, Videh Kumar Jaipuriar.
