Disney Adventures head to Europe

Sunday, 24 May, 2013 0

Adventures by Disney yesterday announced a new eight-night Central Europe trip that will take families to the lands of Heidi and Pinocchio, plus enhanced Italy itineraries and more teen activities on all trips.

The new Europe tour will visit Austria, Germany, and the Czech Republic, including Prague, Salzburg, and Vienna, and spend three nights at a resort in the Alps.

Guests can visit Europe’s oldest zoo, and a salt mine and ice cave in the Bavarian Alps; make marionettes in Prague; waltz in Vienna; tour UNESCO World Heritage Sites; and bake some strudel. Finally, there will be a private dinner at an emperor’s pavilion in the Vienna Zoo.

Meanwhile, the "Enhanced Italy" tour of Rome, Florence, Venice, and Tuscany has added VIP experiences.

There’s a private visit to the Colosseum in Rome, a rare after-hours trip to the Vatican Museum and Sistine Chapel, and a stop in Tuscany to learn the art of pasta making in a private cooking class.

There’s also a tour of the secret passages of the Palazzo Vecchio, a mask-making activity in Venice, and a detective game at the Doge’s Palace.

New teen-focused programs for 2014 include:

Peru: Salsa dancing with the locals, horseback riding through the rugged landscape, a bonfire and stargazing.

Costa Rica: A teen-centric beach party and photography classes.

Arizona & Utah: A bike ride through Boynton Canyon in Sedona and sunset hike through the Grand Canyon.
