Dog-gone good news for queasy friends
For anyone traveling with their dog, there’s some good news: The US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has approved the use of Cerenia.
It’s the first such medicine to prevent and treat vomiting in dogs associated with motion sickness.
When used in tablet form, the Pfizer Inc. drug works, according to the FDA,
Severe vomiting can lead to dehydration and death in dogs, the FDA said.
Dog’s can’t exactly wolf it down, however, since the drug is only available by prescription.
