Dom Rep charters for Royal Caribbean
Royal Caribbean International is to run charter flights from the UK to cruises from the Dominican Republic.
The line’s Legend of the Seas will operate two Caribbean itineraries in winter 2007-08 reached by flights from Gatwick to Santa Domingo.
Ports of call include St Maarten, Dominica, Grenada, Margarta Island, and Aruba. A second itinerary covers St Kitts, Guadeloupe, Martinique, Barbados and St Lucia.
Prices for eight-night fly-cruises start at £1,199. The two itineraries can be combined into a back-to-back 15-night fly cruise.
The Dominican Republic sailings are detailed in a 2007-08 worldwide brochure which includes details of Royal Caribbean’s six ships in Europe next summer, as previously reported by TravelMole.
Navigator of the Seas makes its ex-UK debut with sister ship Voyager of the Seas returning with sailings from Barcelona. Legend of the Seas will run cruises from Rome, Splendour of the Seas in the eastern Mediterranean, Brilliance of the Seas will run 12-night Greek Islands and Venice itineraries and Jewel of the Seas returns to sail from Harwich.
A new six-page fold out cover has been introduced in the brochure giving ship cut-away illustrations designed to make it easier for agents to answer client questions, according to head of marketing Kate Cleaver.
Meanwhile, sister brand Celebrity Cruises’ 2007-08 brochure includes more than 40 new ports of call including the new destinations of Australia and New Zealand, a new Galapagos Islands voyage including a tour of Machu Picchu and a 12-night Artic Circle and North Cape fly-cruise.
Agents making bookings from the new programmes by July 31 will be entered into a draw to win a nine-night Caribbean cruise on new Freedom-class ship Liberty of the Seas in May 2007 amongst other prizes.
