Eastern Mediterranean road show ready to roll
The Eastern Mediterranean Tourism Association is embarking on its annual road show next month to update travel professionals on destinations, travel product and tour options.
Countries featured include Italy, Croatia and the Balkan States, Greece, Turkey, Cyprus, Syria, Lebanon, Israel and Palestinian territories, Jordan, Egypt, and Libya.
In 2010 well over 800,000 Australian visited the region.
This year’s EMTA evenings will also mark the global re-launch of Egypt’s tourism by the Egyptian Tourism Authority after the problems of late January and February .
Dennis Bunnik, of Bunnik Tours, will report on his recent visit to Egypt to assist his own clients and other Australian travellers in Egypt.
In 2011 EMTA has changed the format to give agents more time to meet with the experts.
An Eastern Mediterranean dinner and the opportunity to win travel prizes to the region are offered. Entry is free.
