EasyJet has cancelled 12 flights to Venice today due to a general strike in Italy, which will be followed by a second strike on March 23.
The airline confirmed "a small number of flights had been grounded", due to industrial action.
It is believed two flights from Gatwick to Venice were among the cancellations together with flights from Venice to Berlin, Paris and Rome.
