easyJet shows 7% October passenger rise

easyJet carried 7.3% more passengers in October at 2.9 million than the same month last year.

But the budget carrier’s load factor dropped by 2.4 points to 83.2% in the month.

Total revenues in the 12 months ending October were up by more than 20% year-on-year to £1,640 million, with passengers carried rising by almost 11% to 33 million.

The airline announces its preliminary results for the year ending September 30 on November 14.
